I used to knit a lot. A LOT. These days I START knitting projects a lot, but... haven't finished one for years! So... my stash of leftover yarn is growing fast. These little autumn acorns are my new favorite way to use up scrap wool and they only take a few minutes each! Win-win.
Happy fall, y'all! These colorful acorns were free. FREE. I was able to use scrap yarn from my stash and acorns from the forest to add some colorful touches to our fall decor.

My leftover yarn stash. You need 100 percent wool. This craft is so easy... I was able to do it off and on while the kids were eating dinner. So simple... I bet you could teach older children how to make them. Would be great fine motor practice and could be made into other things besides these acorns!

Make the yarn into small yarn balls and rinse under water with soap. Rolling them between your palms, the yarn will eventually pull together into the felted balls.

Aren't they so cute and adorable! I love bringing these out each year for fall.
