My ReDo on a Curb Pick Up

I needed some pieces for my new screened in porch. One of the things I needed was something with storage. In my quest, I couldn't find anything I really wanted and then....
I was driving home and look what I found!!

I found this old piece of furniture on the curb. After asking if it was free, I loaded it up and took it home.





The back was partially gone and what was left was a thin - almost cardboard - backing.





A friend helped me put a new wooden back on it.





And here is the finished project. The top opening where the drawer was missing was filled with two wicker baskets that I spray painted. The middle opening was filled with a black/white checked ruffle on a tension rod. I put all new red pulls on it. So, all I was out was a can of spray paint, two baskets and the knobs which were on sale. Less than $20.00. I am pleased with the outcome. It is on my covered porch to store items.
