Readymade Makeover: Banded Window Treatment

Hubs wanted to block out the bright early morning sun from south-facing windows.
Wife wanted nice treatments that wouldn't break the bank.
Marriage saved (lol) with store bought panels and the ability to sew straight lines.

We're pretty early risers, but the summer sun starts a little earlier than we do.
I couldn't find anything that I liked with our Mercer Blue walls and I really didn't want to make new custom draperies...BUT I definitely wanted a custom look.





So nothing ever got done... for. a. long. time.
During a chance trip to a home goods store, I spied pairs of grommeted, "thermal lined" raw silk panels at a good price....in a SPOT ON color!! Jackpot!





I added a coordinating print and fun trim to pick up the other colors in the room and gave those panels a makeover.





Now Hubs can sleep in on Saturdays (as if) and everyone lived happily ever after.
