"Floating Girl" Art-Inspired Dresser


Isn't it fun to see an idea come to life? Executing my idea for this furniture makeover was especially satisfying, since was bouncing around in my brain for months before finding the right piece!
A beaten-up dresser, an inspirational piece of art, and the perfect embellishments all came together in this transformation. Read on to see how I did it!



This sad and scratched up waterfall dresser was my starting point. Not much to look at, is it?

After much paint stripping and sanding, she was ready to be transformed. First, I transfered a new image to the drawers. It's based on a piece of art I've loved for years - I'll tell you all about its unique origins and meaning on the blog (link below)!
With some homemade chalk paint and careful handpainting with my colorful Unicorn SPiT stain, my vision for this piece finally started coming together!

And these gorgeous clear knobs from D. Lawless Hardware were the just the right finishing touch.
