Industrial Shelves {a How-to}

These shelves made a big impact and have given great storage in our guest bathroom...and they were easy. Here is a step by step how-to so that you can go into this project with full confidence that you will rock this out!

shopping list: 2x8x8 boards cut to 2' lengths. I only used 3 of my 4 for this project.
(6) 8" pipe (3/4" diameter pipes). (6) floor flanges for 3/4" pipe. (6) end caps for 3/4" pipes. Spray paint, screws, mollies and stain.
Spray paint your pipes, flanges and end caps and let them dry thoroughly. Sand and stain your boards. I also sprayed mine with Thompson's Water Seal since they will be in a damp environment.

Hold your first flange up where you want to place it and mark the holes with a pencil. Then drill holes large enough to fit the mollies you purchased.

Tap the mollies in the walls.

Screw flange, pipe and end cap to the wall.

Used a level to make sure your next flanges line up vertically and horizontally.

Stand back and smile in a smug I-totally-rocked-this-project kind of way.

Load up the shelves with whatever pleases you.
