I wanted to create a unique backsplash for a small bar. I went to the liquor store and found unusual shapes and colors. Drinking the wine was the fun part! Then I took the clean empty bottles to a local stained glass studio and had them "slump" the bottles in a kiln.
Then I used white ceramic tile adhesive and applied it to the back of the bottles. I applied the same adhesive as a layer on the wall and filled in all of the empty spaces with glass blobs. I chose green which created a bubble effect. After the "tile bottles" had set I chose a white unsanded grout and sealed the whole area with tile sealer.
Drinks anyone?! Cheers!
