Replacing the Old Carpet With Vinyl Plank Flooring

I couldn't take the nasty carpet anymore! Our small upstairs hall had old carpet with several mysterious stains in various places. Hubby did a little research and found these vinyl planks that looked pretty easy. In fact, the box said they were the easiest flooring ever. I don't know about that but it was pretty easy for us and we're not flooring experts by any means!
I spared you the before photo of the nasty carpet. Here's the padding underneath.

After we removed the padding and vacuumed all the dirt that was under it we were left with about 14.5 million staples to pull.
