Signs From Heaven

A friend wanted a sign made to remember her father. I found this cute saying and decided to make it for her. It really turned out great, and have been asked to make another sign for another person changing the word "butterfly" to "cardinal" and embellishing with a bird. So many ways to do this quote. Love it!

This is the finished project. Complete with butterfly embellishments, "jewels" on the word "Heaven" and a few other goodies here and there.

I didn't take beginning pics, but it started out as 4 pallet boards. I painted 3 in different colored chalk paint and stained one with Burgundy color stain. After drying, I used stencils and a pencil to put on the lettering, then colored it in with black acrylic paint. I went over the last board with white so you could see the words better. I then distressed it all with sandpaper, and coated with a sealer.

Decided it needed depth, so attached it to a board type thing I had gotten with some delivered furniture awhile back that I had saved. Embellished with butterflies, clear jewels, some red glitter glue on the word "love" and a few other things I had on hand. Really turned out nice!
