Wooden Shutter Wall Display

I found these shutters at a yard sale and paid $10.00 for both of them. Wait till you see what I did with them once I got them home.

I painted them with my favorite shade of turquoise blue paint then went over that paint with some mahogany GEL GLAZE to add the aged look to them

Here they are side by side all painted and glazed.

Then I took two matching hearts and decorated them identically and added a hook to the shutters to hang the heart from.

Here they are in my home flanking my front door. I love the bright and cheery feel they add to my home to welcome my guests into our house.
